Excerpt:

Later that evening, Eden had taken far more time than usual with her clothes. A long shower should have made her feel relaxed, but it had the opposite result. She’d never felt more nervous in her life. It was even worse than when she lost her virginity.

The way they had planned to meet for sex did not agree with her at all. It gave her too many hours to dread what was coming. She feared she would disappoint him. He had a ton of experience with women and knew what do to and how to behave. She felt totally out of her league. Maybe she should have turned him down while she still had the chance to save face.

“Don’t look so nervous. I’m not going to eat you. Yet,” Cooper said with a grin as they stood inside his bedroom.

“I’m not nervous.”

“Then why are you fiddling with your sweater?”

“Maybe I am a bit nervous,” she admitted.

“Don’t worry,” he said and embraced her. “I’ll take good care of you.”

She had no doubts about that.

“I’m more worried about what I can do for you,” she admitted with more honesty than she should have expressed.

Was this really the right decision, or would it ruin the friendship they had been building? She had fantasized about him, but having sex with him was probably the quickest way to make him lose all interest in her.

“You’re thinking too much,” Cooper murmured. “Just let go and do what you want.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“I want to see you naked.”

He held out his arms. “I’m all yours. Do what you want.”
