Mated to her mortal enemies?
Ivy’s brother has gone missing. Her sedate boss turns out to be a deadly wolf shifter. What more can possibly go wrong this week, Ivy wonders?
Then one of her colleagues sniffs her neck and discovers she’s the mate of said boss.
Yeah right. But not interested.
Darther Landon might look gorgeous, but she’s never had a thing for sharp teeth. Or enemies, for that matter.
Then he offers her a deal: A temporary mating to him and his twin brother, Thorn, for a chance to meet her brother.
Just how temporary are we talking?

Excerpt:
“Hello?” Ivy intervened sharply. “Sorry to disturb your family reunion, but what are you talking about?”
“Your scent,” Thorn said.
“Not you too,” Ivy groaned. “Why don’t we cut the crap and forget that I stink, and you can take me to my brother. We’ve wasted enough time already.”
“What brother?” Thorn asked.
“Marcus Hunter is her brother,” Darther explained.
“Oh him,” Thorn said and laughed. “Alicia’s latest plaything.”
“Don’t call him that,” Ivy snapped at him.
“Why not? He got injured while spying on us. He’s lucky to be alive. Who’s ever heard of a wolf hunter turning out to be the mate of our healer?”
There it was again. The ‘mate’ word. The records had mentioned it, but there was no explanation as to what it meant. Ivy’s father and brother had always been very secretive once she’d asked, never revealing what it meant except that it was a werewolf version of marriage.
“What’s a mate?” she asked.
“It’s a bond between one or several people.”
“So he’s safe?”
“Yes, of course he’s safe. A were shifter’s mate is protected by the entire pack.”
“Oh, alright. So what happens now? Do you turn me over to the police?” Ivy asked.
The brothers looked at each other, and she saw Thorn nod. It was almost like they were discussing between them, even if no words were heard.
“No police. It won’t be safe. You’re staying with us, whether you like it or not,” Darther said matter of factly.
“You intend to tie me up and put me in a basement somewhere?” Ivy blurted out.
Thorn chuckled. “Sounds interesting, but no.”
“Your scent puts you at risk right now.“
Ivy groaned. “Don’t you start on that again.”
“I have to. Every shifter from miles away will be able to track you down. There’s no way to hide from this. Except…”
“Just spell it out, Landon.” Ivy was sick and tired of beating around the bush.
“You have to mate with someone.”
“What does that mean?”
“It’s a temporary bond of protection,” Thorn explained.
“Any volunteers?” Ivy asked snidely.
“We’re both a match to you.”
“Really?” she snorted. “That’s not happening. Ever.”
“Two mates will be stronger than one.”
“You’re just bullshitting me. I prefer the police, so just make that damn call.”
“Nope,” Darther said and leaned back. “It’s either us or nothing.”
