Excerpt:

“Can I stay in your room?” Nora asked Grayson. He was her brother Ralph’s best friend, and he was one of the few that wouldn’t behave like a complete arsehole. Sometimes, she trusted him even more than she trusted her own brother.

“What do you mean?” Grayson asked.

“My dear brother put me in the room next to Ollie.” She made a grimace just thinking about the flirty d******d that thought every woman was destined to fall into his bed.

Grayson laughed. “I’ve heard that opposites attract.”

“Not in this case. Ollie can wheedle his way into anyone else’s bed but mine. He gives me the creeps these days.”

“So, if you’re already sharing a bed, you think that would solve it?”

“Absolutely.”

“Uh-hum.” He didn’t sound convinced.

“Can I? Please, Grayson?”

He looked reluctant, as if he’d tasted something sour. But it was gone before Nora could be sure that was what she’d seen. Had he other plans that she was going to ruin for him? God, she hoped not. He was a good guy. He deserved to find someone, but her self-preservation was more imminent right now. There was no way she would spend an extended weekend sleeping close to Ollie.

“All right. You can stay.”

The sigh he uttered wasn’t as convincing as his words, but she chose to ignore it. He was a nice man, and this time, she had no qualms taking advantage of that.
