An excerpt for adults only! Something wrapped around my eyes. I panicked and struck out, but whoever had done it was out of reach. My hands went to the obstruction- some kind of dark cloth, and I heard a feminine giggle. I froze. “Lucy? Is that you?” She didn’t answer, but I heard her step closer. I recognized those footsteps. I felt the adrenaline in my veins ratchet down, and my heart stopped pounding. If this was Lucy, she must have some kind of game in store. With that in mind, I left the blindfold alone. “Baby? What are you doing?” I couldn’t tell quite where she was, only that she was circling me, and when I reached out a hand I only caught air. Something snapped tight around my wrists. I startled, jerking back, and felt the cold bite of metal. I tugged at them. The cuffs were connected by a short length of chain, and even straining against them I couldn’t get them to shift. Lucy was still circling like a shark, and I was feeling a little more uncertain. When I spoke I could hear it in my voice. “Lucy?” “Welcome home, honey,” she purred. Her voice was right behind my ear, so close I could feel the heat of her breath, and when I reached for her I still couldn’t find her. “How was your day?”
