Senator Harry Reid’s farewell to Congress was an exception. On December 8, 2016, the stately and historic Kennedy Caucus Room was packed with Reid’s family, political supporters, and staff members. #2 The name of the program was AATIP, an acronym for the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. It was not the name of the program Reid had quietly sponsored, but it is the name that has stuck thanks to an avalanche of mainstream media coverage. #3 Reid’s interest in UFOs dates back at least three decades.
