Peter Christen Asbjørnsen was a writer and scholar, born in Norwegian Christiana (now Oslo). His name is closely connected with the name of Jørgen Moe, his close childhood friend, with whom Asbjørnsen collected Norwegian folktales.
The Tree Lemons, translated into English by G. W. Dasent, was first published in 1874 as a part of the second series of popuar Norwegian tales, Tales from the Fjeld.
A classic example of Asbjørnsen's rather vigour and very charming style, the story captures the readers' attention at once. Do you want to be carried away by the exciting events of The Tree Lemons, a hidden treasure of Norwegian magic folk spirit? Then download the book and enjoy the reading!
