Notes on Jonah by Robert Brown

Notes on Jonah

Description

Jonah is probably the best known of all the Old Testament prophets, even though he is mentioned but twice in the New Testament. However, the only thing most people seem to know of him is his episode with the great fish.

In these Notes on Jonah the author brings out who Jonah was, what he had previously foretold, why he refused to go to Nineveh, why he changed his mind and went, and why he was sad when the Ninevites repented and turned to God. Jonah was, indeed, a zealous Israelite and his love for his nation came not only before his love for his life, but also before his love for God.
