Colorado Springs detectives Arnold Simms and Andrew Davis have been busy attempting to solve their assigned cases, including the shooting of a mother of five boys and a young man who robs and kills the owners of small grocery stores. However, for several past years during inclement weather, females have been killed inside their disabled autos on the interstate highway. Although those cases were not assigned to Simms and Davis, they become fascinated with the murders and begin to search for the elusive killer.
