Description

Victoria Neaves and her demon assistant Romney first appeared in "Victoriana", a steampunk adventure in which Victoria and Romney were pitted against corrupt British government forces and their diabolical plan to release a deadly micron explosive device upon the Germanic states of Europe. As a member of the officially non-existent assassin's society, Victoria fell afoul of the dark agents of the British Empire and was captured and experimented on, her captors fitting many augmentations to her body. With Romney's assistance, she escapes from the British government. She foils their plans, escaping to start a new life away from the reaches of the government and the assassin's society.
In this, their second adventure, strange events occur in the woods at Denwick Beauchamp, and some of the local children claim to have encountered fairies by the lake amongst the trees. Victoria and Romney are hired to investigate, but what they find is much stranger.
