him of rape in the first degree and sexual abuse in the first degree (two counts), upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.
The appeal also brings up for review the denial, after a hearing (Naro, J.), of that branch of the defendant's omnibus motion
which was to suppress a statement made by him to the police.
