Description

ABSTRACT This study considers how librarians can develop mentoring schemes that enhance intellectual discourse among honors students. The author defines mentored learning; identifies the need for integrated information support in honors curricula; outlines a project that has employed a mentored learning model; and examines how a mentored learning program may assist in promoting high achievement and low attrition in honors programs. This paper was presented at the 39th annual NCHC conference in November 2004.
