Santōka: The Home Front

"The Home Front" is a group of freestyle haiku poems by the Japanese wandering freestyle haiku poet Taneda Santōka (1882 - 1940). These poems are related to the second Sino-Japanese War and deal with not the battlefield scene but with conditions at home in Japan.
