Ravana of Ramayana time was no different from people who presently stop at nothing to get to the top. In the famous Sri Rama-Ravana battle, symbolizing the war between the righteous and unrighteous, Ravana was armed to the teeth, well protected with armour and shield on a missile-studded battle-chariot. Vibhisana felt that Sri Rama without any chariot or armour and with only his bow and a quiver of arrows would be no match for the mighty Ravana. Sri Rama explains to Vibhisana the strategy of triumph which is applicable even today in each of our lives. He describes in Vibhisana Gita how well he was equipped with inner values which alone bring lasting success and happiness. Swami Tejomayananda’s commentary shows how these values lived in our lives blossom to become virtues and fill our life with the fragrance of victory, joy and fulfilment.
