Lake Serene Resort manager Shaw Chamberlin groans as snow slows the pace of repairs. He's here because he's determined to live far from where a nightmare he was responsible for took place. He chose well in hiring Haley Walters to run the snowmobile operation.
But she can't do everything on her own. The few hours out of his office with the wilderness all around and Haley nearby makes Shaw long to spend more time with her.
Haley too chose to live far from her traumatic past. She'll work with Shaw in designing a sled dog trail and share the excitement of wolf tracks, explore their growing emotional and physical feelings for each other. Maybe start to fall in love.
Christmas brings a mountain celebration followed by a night together at an isolated cabin. Surrounded by nature with the wolf nearby, they make love.
