A mysterious comet has launched in west Africa, triggering the mutation of a drag which enables people to become mind readers. These ‘Turanga’ start to appear around the world and two rival scientists, Devlin and Terrance, compete to study their powers - harnessing them for good and evil. Meanwhile, the moon has undergone a radical transformation that is also affecting behaviour on Earth, including that o the President of the united States.
