Periphery as the New King

This paper explores current global conflicts, from Ukraine, to Chinese territorial disputes, to the rise of the Islamic State. The author offers ten “lessons” drawing from a number of on-going conflicts and identifies an active and forward West, particularly the United States, as a key factor in resolving conflicts and ensuring global stability.
