Description

"One night twenty years ago returns to claim its prize."

Detective Arthur Tully’s life feels stuck in place, a leaf caught in an eddy, spinning in circles with no way out. Until he catches a case involving the body of a young man dressed in renaissance clothing, a mysterious, unfamiliar motorcycle and a beautiful woman who only appears under the full moon.

The truth unfolds as he discovers the woman's secrets and finds himself battling a Lord of Myth and his horde of chrome and magic.

"The Stars Are Fire" is part of Uncollected Anthology, Issue 1: Magical Motorcycles.

PHAEDRA WELDON grew up in the thick, atmospheric land of South Georgia. Most nights, especially those in October, were spent on the back of pickup trucks in the center of corn fields, telling ghost stories. She got her start writing in Shared Worlds, selling original stories to DAW Anthologies and sold her first urban fantasy series to traditional publishing. Her Zoë Martinique series now spans 7 books, ancillary novellas and short stories, as well as 3 spin off series.

Her Shared World work consists of happy times writing Star Trek (Starfleet Corps of Engineers, Star Trek: The Next Generation), Eureka! (Brain Box Blues, under the name Cris Ramsay), BattleTech, and Shadowrun.
