Description

In the small town of Hilldale, crime feared the name of young Adam Parker and his friends at The Parker Detective Agency. No job too small, no crime too large. The Parker Detective Agency was at the ready to stop the bad guys from taking over their town. Then Adam became a teenager. Being a kid detective was all Adam knew until he hit High School and he wanted to be cool more than he wanted to solve crime. He turned his back on the agency and his best friend, Kevin Simpson and the girl next door, Becky Wilson. The agency was no more.

Years later, Adam struggles to find his way ever since those carefree days of solving crimes. He bounces from job to job, never finding one that fits him just right. He dreams of becoming an actor, but quickly discovers he might not be any good. After losing out on role after role through the community theater scene and watching his acting rival steal away his girlfriend, Adam's life collapses around him. He calls his best friend and former agency partner, Kevin.

Adam returns to Hilldale, licking his wounds. When Kevin's father's hardware store is burglarized one evening and Adam agrees to talk a look for "old time's sake." The jaunt down memory lane of solving crimes isn't a strong enough pull to keep Adam interested, but when the first girl he ever fell in love with, Becky Wilson jumps at a chance to reunite and solve one more case, Adam is gung-ho for action.

But how can Adam do a job he hates being good at? Does he indeed hate it or is he too afraid to admit he was wrong all those years ago for leaving it behind?

The burglary is just the beginning of a trail that leads to a madman that threatens the lives of everyone in the town of Hilldale. Adam struggles with his doubts, all the while drawing closer to this madman. The Parker Detective Agency reunites for one more case, but will it be their last?
