Description

Bringing Jane Home is the story of a father who goes through hell to be reunited with his estranged daughter and his efforts to bring her home from the mouth of the Amazon River in Brazil.

Josh Freeman, ex-Navy Swift Boat machine-gunner and Montauk, NY, charter boat captain loses his wife, Mary, during a storm on a fishing trip with his daughter Jane aboard. Jane blames her father and leaves home while Josh falls off the wagon. His neighbor, Willie Miles, is worried that his daughter Sara, Jane’s best friend, is hanging out with the wrong crowd. Sara and Jane are keeping company with a Russian mobster named Dimitri “Spider” Solomon who lives in the Little Odessa neighborhood of New York City. Things heat up for Spider when Federal ATF agents come after him for illegal cigarette trafficking. Spider and his gang head to South America, with Sara and Jane in tow, renting a luxury yacht in Belém, Brazil, at the mouth of the Amazon River. Willie begs Josh to find the girls and bring them home. Josh follows a lead he uncovers in Little Odessa and travels to Belém .

The action is fast and furious. Josh tangles with both the mobster leader, Spider, and modern-day Braziian river pirates. He will go to any lengths to free his daughter and her friend, and eventually bring them home.
