George Fox was the founder of Quakerism. William Penn became friends with Fox and often traveled with him, learning about his beliefs. Fox was one of the first pioneers of the rights of the individual, a belief that Penn adopted and was later adopted from Penn during the writing of the U.S. Constitution.
