Description

The town of Halifax was founded in 1749, was incorporated as a city in 1842 and later became the Halifax Regional Municipality in 1996. We are known to the world as the hometown of Alexander Keith's beer, a resting place for victims of the Titanic, and the site of the tragic Halifax Explosion.

But modern day Halifax is an entrepreneurial, culinary and musical hot spot. We are also a must visit destination for adventure travellers and beer tourists!

In this book, you'll find two locals tips for dining, hiking, shopping and sleeping in Halifax. We'll take you to some of our favourite hidden gems and historic sites, and even show you how to get to the beach by bus!

This is an interactive and continuously changing resource. Things here change in a 'Halifax Minute' so make sure you update often!
