This work takes a new look at the work of Carl G. Jung and Isabel Briggs Myers and her associates using a lens of logical analysis. The 1983 Abbreviated Version of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® is also analyzed with attention to test design and adherence to the definitions of the individual elements presented. In the process, two elements were re-described and renamed. Recommendations are made to change the short form indicator. Major changes are needed to the 1983 Abbreviated Version of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® with major problems involving the Thinking and Feeling pair, lesser changes to the Extraversion and Introversion pair and recognition that Sensing and Intuition are not really a pair at all. Changes to some of the major element definitions are needed.
