Stronger Than the Storm follows Paul Brooks, a 57-year-old African American software engineer that is laid off after twenty years of service to his company. During his seven-month job search he is forced to deal with ageism, racial discrimination, and recruiter ghosting. As healthcare costs drain their savings and each of his family members faces their own crisis, Paul is reduced to considering working for Uber and Instacart. Yet through it all, the Brooks family proves that resilience can weather even the darkest storms.
