After the mayor is found dead in his own office, his wife, Wanda's first client, is the main suspect according to Wanda's boyfriend and deputy. Then, Wanda breaks her ankle after encountering the evil basement ghost. Wanda must rely on her found family, her ghostly ancestors, and a little creative sleuthing to find a way to prove her client's innocence and get rid of the whatever nonliving entity is in the basement.
