It had been a tremendous shock to Leonie to learn that her father, whom she had always believed dead, was in fact still alive and living in a remote part of West Africa, and she knew she could not rest until she had gone out there to find him. She succeeded—but also found herself in more trouble than she had anticipated. For when danger threatened the tiny African state, Leonie found herself having to go through a form of marriage with the abrasive Greg Thornton in order to escape.
