Those comments normally strike me as cold and heartless, as most of the time the relatives had no knowledge of the crime, and did not encourage, aid, or abet in any way. (Of course if the family did assist or force the criminal in some way, that would be different). This book takes those comments, and turns them into the story of a family affected by those comments. While someone being afraid of online trolls and commenters may seem a little far fetched, it isn't too far out there. There have been plenty of instances of doxxing, swatting, and harassment that have spilled over into real life.
