"Ave" (1911) is the first volume of George Moore’s autobiographical trilogy "Hail and Farewell!" Though purportedly nonfiction, "Ave" doubles as imaginative worldbuilding about the author’s Irish heritage and the Irish Literary Revival in which he was a participant and candid eyewitness.
