GEORGE BERNARD SHAW

G K Chesterton was in an ideal position to write a critical biography of George Bernard Shaw's literary achievements and political ideas. He was a personal friend and opponent of Shaw's progressive socialism, and the book offers an insightful assessment of his philosophy and politics, as well as the rising progressive orthodoxy of the twentieth century. It's a great introduction to Shaw's work and the atmosphere of the time in which it was written.
