The Sea Fairies

Published in 1911, The Sea Fairies tells the story of Cap'n Bill and Trot who happen upon a group of mermaids. It was the only one of Baum's novels that deviated from his strictly feminist-leaning plots, featuring a powerful father-figure instead of his usual strong female leader.
