A companion guide to 78 of the easier questions in the Official Guide for GMAT Review 13th edition. This guide contains nine chapters relating to nine distinct topic areas, allowing you to concentrate on one topic at a time and see the various ways in which questions can be presented as well as the similarities between them.
Each chapter has the following sections:
Theory: a detailed explanation of all the Maths theory necessary to answer the questions in that chapter;
Theory Checklist: a list of the processes you'll need to know, and which have just been covered, so you can check them off as you become comfortable with them;
Questions: a routemap through the Official Guide, telling you which questions to do in order, so that you focus on one topic at a time and stick to the easy questions in the first place; each question is explained fully and in different ways so that you can know everything about it and select the method that suits you best, as well as getting to know the various shortcuts and potential traps;
Rules: a list of the formulae and facts that apply to that topic;
Strategy: a section in which I summarise the strategies that you might consider while reviewing the questions you've just done;
Drill(s): one or more exercises that will help you to become more confident with numbers and with the processes involved on the GMAT.
For those who find the Officlal Guide useful as a question bank but insufficient in terms of its theory and explanations, and wholly lacking in any advice on strategy, this book is an indispensable tool which will allow you to do a lot more preparation on your own rather than turning immediately to an agency or a tutor.
