A multimedia, surrealist, joyful, life-affirming, enigmatic, rebellious storyboard in the tradition of Chien Andalou and Eat the Rich and surrealist painting. Translated as ‘savage dreaming, wild reverie, creative delirium’, this montage represents dialogues with my unconscious, and my dreams, extending abstract notions of self into fantastic ontological fruits of the womb.
I develop a personal multivalent symbolism and playful narrative toying with the idea of the seven deadly sins and using the results to make iconoclastic, subversive, enigmatic, passionate and hopefully amusing comments on religion and politics. At the same time the narrative and metaphors include biographical, anthropological and nostalgic elements in a complex contrapuntal orchestration of thought and emotion. Within the overall sequential montage many prints contain an internal montage.
This method exalts the power of symbols, as a device for a metacommentary on the historical, contemporary and idiosyncratic condition of humankind.
