Description

The Behavior Textbook (TBT) is a 131 page, structured curriculum guide teaching emotion identification and coping skills for individuals with special needs.  TBT is robust with programming activities, direction on corresponding apps to use in instruction, and reinforcing multi-media.

Created by Bill Thompson, school psychologist, TBT allows teachers and parents to go through multimedia content with the student and to further work on the concepts with recommended planning activities.  These activities construct visual supports and other meaningful materials that inspire the students to take learning to a new level.  In addition, these activities are leveled providing benefit to anyone who needs instruction in the areas of emotions and calming methods.

Based on research that shows that video modeling expedites goal acquisition and promotes generalization of skills in individuals with autism, TBT features over 40 videos of emotions, coping skills, and daily classroom routines.

As special education embarks on a movement in using iOS devices to mirror content within the classroom, TBT is the very first appropriate textbook for individuals who learn primarily through the use of video and photographs.

Mr. Thompson has worked for over 10 years as a school psychologist.  In addition, a multi-disciplinary team assisted in the construction and organization of content.  The Behavior Textbook continues a long line of outstanding products created by Mr. Thompson and Look2Learn.  This includes top rated autism apps: Stories2Learn, Video Scheduler, Picture Prompt Timer, and Look2Learn.

Whether you’re a parent wanting to teach your child coping skills or a teacher improving on their daily curriculum, The Behavior Textbook will help take student learning to a different level.  Get ready for positive behavior!
