The Varieties of a Religious Experience

In this set of lectures James attempts to validate the formerly abstract idea of a spiritual experience. With James knowledge of physiology, philosophy and psychology he reviewed cases of religious inspiration with the conclusion that in times of crisis the human consciousness provided energies that were a great comfort namely the religious experience.
