Heaney astonishingly rapid growth as a literary reputation and the culmination of it in the winning of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1995, is a long and successful journey of his facile pen, which unearthed several volumes of poetry, prose and criticism. Internal strife since late 1960s in Northern Ireland disturbed the daily life in the province. The ethnic clashes in the Irish public of Catholics and Protestants shocked the heart of the poet deeply.
