Fifth-grader Alison loves Sharkey, her adopted stray cat. But where did his mysterious collar come from, and why is he acting so weird? At the same time, Alison's best friend, Denise, seems to be ditching her for a mean but "popular" girl. Can Alison save her friendship, or at least her cat?
