The Tale of Genji

The Tale of Genji is a classic work of Japanese literature attributed to Murasaki Shikibu. Dating back to the 11th century, The Tale of Genji is often referred to as the first novel with its focus on the livelihoods of the high courtiers of Japanese society. This is the abridged version of The Tale of Genji.
