Description

Introduction My first visit to the underground tap scene was the result of an invitation from a friend who had recently returned to tap dancing after giving it up for many years. When she invited me to watch her perform at La Cave, my understanding of tap and the world of tap dancers was very limited. I understood through dance school that tap was for fun and ballet for grace and posture. Out of friendship and slight curiosity, one Wednesday evening after classes, I tagged along with her to La Cave to watch her dance.
