[8]p.,35,[1] leaves,plates : ill. ; 4⁰. London : printed for R. Dodsley, 1753. The poems are printed and foliated on the recto only. The 'Explanation of the prints', by Horace Walpole, is printed on both the recto and verso. According to Hazen, there were three distinct editions dated 1753, all with identical wording on the titlepage. Hazen suggests that this is the second edition; the half-title reads: 'Designs, &c.'; there is an exclamation mark in the rows of printer's flowers on the third and fourth pages of the 'Explanation of the prints'; the compositor ran out of the letter "d" and used an inverted "p" for the last seven occurences on p.26.
