While maintaining all the original text, this edition is a fresh update of Abdullah Yusuf Ali's 1938 English translation. To make this edition more easily accessible to a contemporary American audience, British spellings are Americanized and paragraphs broken into lines and phrases for verses, are recombined. The result is a complete Koran, the sacred writings of the Islamic world, approachable by all who are open to the word.
