Description

A Faith Journey Through Kidney Failure

When Kidneys Fail is the autobiography of Steve's journey with kidney disease. It's written to help people with kidney disease, and their family and friends, better understand what lies ahead. His hope is that his experiences will somehow help you on your own journey.

This journey begins with being diagnosed with kidney disease. You will then face transplant decisions, donor solicitation, transplant testing, choosing between transplant and dialysis, choosing what type of dialysis, vascular surgery, along with outside factors such as Covid. Steve shares his choices, why he made them, and the results those decisions created for him.

His faith in God has carried him through this journey. As you will read, his trust in the Lord meant everything. His Jehoshaphat moment was especially poignant. And always remember-God loves you, and He knows the mess you're in!

"When Kidneys Fail is an open and honest description of his journey with kidney disease, his struggles navigating the world of transplant, and the decision to live with dialysis." -Denise Neal, RN, BSN, BS, CPTC

"When Kidneys Fail is such a great insight into Mr. White's medical journey... He gives us constant encouragement throughout the book to lean on our faith in God." -Dr. Simone Whitmore, OBGYN
