Description

“They Way They Treated Me” chronicles what James L. Holiday II experienced on his first two days as he integrated an all white elementary school in 1965. As a third grader entering a new school, he was harassed and assaulted just for wanting to get a good education. His experience was traumatizing and opened his eyes to the hatred people had toward him because of the color of his skin. WIth support from his loving parents and family, he was able overcome this hurdle in his life. He has become an inspiration, role model, and mentor to underprivileged African American boys and girls. “The Way They Treated Me” is the first book of the “James L. Holiday II Chronicles.”
