Description

This book is based on the Quran and the authentic statements of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The books of many scholars, both past and present, have been referred to when preparing this book. Even the teachings of secular thinkers such as Dale Carnegie have been beneficial.

Mental health problems affect all of us. The poor and the rich suffer. Young and old get depressed. Males and females are stressed. Muslims and non-Muslims have anxiety. No one is immune.

Allah says in the Quran, ‘All living beings will taste death, and We will test you with evil and good situations, and to Us, you all will return.’

Allah blessed us with life and how we live it becomes us. On the Day of Judgment what happens to us depends on how we lived here.

Allah tests us with difficulties and ease. Good and bad happen. A person gets ill. Another is tested with her marriage. We suffer when our loved one suffers. All types of difficulties—financial, physical, and social—affect our lives.

Even wealth, children, power, and social status are tests. An empty bank account causes us to worry but we also worry if it is in excess.

We can never be free of worries in this world. We are going to face problems; hence our focus should be on how to deal with them effectively. We should solve our problems but not get dissolved in them. Learning the strategies in this book will help you stop worrying and start living!
