Beyond a Flood and a War

The book begins with recollections of the the 1937 Ohio River Flood and moves on to describe the formation and struggles of a large family. World War II dominates life especially when the father goes into the navy and survives the sinking of his ship. The Author serves two years in the navy, starts a family and begins a forty year career in electric power.
