After going deaf from an attack of meningitis, Emily struggles to regain her hearing. She is rich but deaf and her doctor who grew up poor is working on a serum to cure deafness which he tries on Emily. Meanwhile, her sister is carrying on an affair with her fiance Jeff. Will Emily get back her hearing (and her fiance)?
