R.D. Lawrence recapture the sights, sounds and smells of the awesome Pacific, its inlets, streams, and rivers and coastline during a six-month exploration of the coasts of British Columbia and the northwestern United States. An encounter with nature, specifically with some of the world’s massive sea creatures (killer whales, octopi, porpoises). What began as the naturalist- author’s simple venture to explore in solitude culminated in a thrilling rendezvous unlike any he had previously experienced.
