Description

The author worked in El Salvador for two years during 1900-1991 and 1991-1992.  Additionally, working as an International Consultant he visited El Salvador on ten occasions.  His first official visit was in 1979, the same year the Civil War began, so he was there at the beginning of the war.  During his many visits to the country, the war raged on. On one occasion he and others were taken hostage by the FMLN rebels.  It wasn’t until the signing of the Peace Accords in 1992 that the country finally found peace.  The author was glad to be in the country at that time; glad to see peace finally come to the country.  See how everything unfolded in the final months of the war, a war that killed 90,000 Salvadorans.
