“Well, there was this really strange door, you see…” That’s how twelve-year-old Hayley tries to describe to her mother how her fantastical adventure began.
The door Hayley is talking about is a beautiful antique door she discovers one day in the woods behind her home. The door stands perfectly upright, though she can see no supports of any kind. Even stranger, when Hayley tries to go behind the door for a look at the other side, the door vanishes, only to reappear when she moves back in front of it. More puzzling still, this strange door to nowhere, attached to nothing, is locked!
When Hayley finally discovers the key to unlocking the door and crosses through the doorway, she enters a world beyond her imaginings. Along her journey through this fantastic world she meets mysterious, faceless Mystics, evil Black Templars, and a magical sprite who is as likely to spout nonsense as he is to share wisdom.
Filled with magic and mayhem, suspense and danger, and humor and charm, The Door is a story you will not soon forget.
