There have been two previous generations of the MacBook Air. The most recent generation of the MacBook Air was announced at the end of October in the year 2018. It was available in stores a week later by early November. With all the generations of the MacBook Air, certain identifiable qualities have remained the same such as the thinness and the lightness of the device. The first model was released in 2008 and the second model was released in 2011. Since then, Apple had not released a new version of the MacBook Air until recently.
There have been some changes made to the overall look and feel of the device. However, many of the useful tools have been improved upon. It is even lighter, which makes it much easier to carry around than the previous versions.
