Description

The works of Gerda Wegener, who was fairly well known in the carefree period between the two world wars, were forgotten for many years. It was remembered in the mid-eighties, when a Danish critic discovered a series of her lesbian erotic drawings in one of the antique shops. At the same time, the story of her husband, Einar-Lily, whose diaries were posthumously published under the title of Man into Woman: The First Sex Change ("From the man to the woman: The first change of the sex") came up.
