Description

From tiny and grey to large and colourful, few animals provoke our curiosity and fear more than spiders:

• More than 45,000 species of spiders live everywhere in the world except Antarctica
• All spiders have fangs. The largest spiders have fangs as long as a nickel is wide
• Even though spiders have fangs and venom, most spider’s fangs cannot pierce human skin. Only about 10 species are truly dangerous to people.
